Common questions

Before you reach out

How much does therapy cost?+

Individual sessions are $100 to $160 for 50 minutes depending on your therapist, and couples sessions are $120 to $170. A sliding scale is available with our student intern, Brittany. We'll confirm the fee in your free initial consultation. Receipts are provided for extended health insurance; check with your provider about coverage for Registered Psychotherapists.

How long and how often are sessions?+

Sessions typically last around 50 minutes and are often scheduled weekly — the frequency adjusts to your needs and goals. Some concerns resolve in a few sessions; others benefit from longer-term work.

Do you offer sessions in Hindi or Gujarati?+

Yes. Nisha and Foram offer therapy in English, Hindi and Gujarati — so you can connect in the language that feels most comfortable.

What is EMDR?+

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an evidence-based approach that uses guided eye movements to help the brain reprocess painful memories. The goal isn't to erase a memory, but to reduce its emotional intensity so it no longer disrupts your daily life.

Is therapy confidential?+

Yes. Everything shared in session is protected, and therapists are bound by professional ethics to keep your information private. Your therapist will walk you through the details in your first session.
